One of the largest Brewer Yacht Yards, Brewer Pilots Point goes to great lengths to make the marina feel small and personable in every way. From most locations you will be able to see only a few dozen boats at a time. There is a genuine, small, homey atmosphere wherever you go.

Channel Survey
Adjusted Range Markers Into the Channel

On June 9, 2008, Hydra Data Incorporated performed a survey of the channel after the completion of the dredging operation that occurred through April and May. As a result, we have adjusted the range markers to correspond to the deepest part of the channel. These markers are to be used to navigate between FlR-2 and 3A. Once vessels are north of 3A, they can refer to the green and red markers.

Mariners are advised to use the adjusted range markers located north of the channel while they are between FlR-2 and 3A. The markers are white diamonds with red edges. They are on a heading of 26 degrees magnetic. Careful measurements have been taken along this range, and the lowest depth encountered at low tide was 8 feet on June 27, 2008.

It is also important to note that there are ranges to mark the east and west edges of the channel. These markers are white and bright orange. Outside of these markers the depth of the water significantly drops.

If you have any questions regarding the new markers, please contact Jeremy Maxwell or Katy Russell at (860) 399-7906.
