Stop by the North Yard Island Heads for a night of BINGO! B.Y.O.B.
August 14: Out of the Basement Benefit Concert 6:00-10:00pm
Join PPM for the Annual Shed Party in the North Yard. The band ‘Out of the Basement’ will be performing. We will be raising money for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center by hosting a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
August 28 & 29: Stuff a Boat! ALL DAY, BOTH DAYS!!!
Did you miss the first stuff a boat of the season? Well here is your chance to get the extra fuel discount while helping with a good cause! Join together to help those in need! Bring 3 or more non-perishable items to the PPM Fuel Dock to receive an additional .05 off per gallon of fuel! You will receive your regular Brewer discount on top of the .05 discount! Help us help the community! Fuel must be purchased on August 28th or August 29th, NO EXCEPTIONS!
August 28: Leukemia Cup Regatta
The Leukemia Cup Regatta returns to Connecticut on Saturday, August 29, 2009 with its ECSA Bonus Point race organized in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Duck Island Yacht Club and North Cove Yacht Club. Registration is $36 per boat, and fundraising is strongly encouraged. All funds raised support LLS' crucial mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Fundraisers receive great incentives including the chance to be awarded the coveted Leukemia Cup (Top Fundraising Boat). Everyone is a winner at the post-race party on Saturday night, hosted by LLS and Brewer Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook. Every four minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and every ten minutes someone loses their battle with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma. Help LLS save lives - and have fun doing it! Solar Power Comes to PPM

Brewer Pilots Point Marina, in Westbrook, Conn., today announced the completion of an 8,500 square foot solar photovoltaic (PV) system funded, in part, by a grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF). The electricity generated by the new system will supply power to three marina work sheds and a portion of its 900 customer slips. FULL PRESS RELEASE
